
Tom Callow has been Chairman or Co-Chairman of SIG-Computing (formarly SIG-IBM until September 2011) since 1990. He also was SEMCO Secretary from 1988 through 1993 and 1995 through 1996.
His first computer was a TI 99/4A, which he bought in 1982 or 1983. He moved up to the world of IBM compatible computers in 1984 and has never looked back. His main computer currently is an Intel I7-based Windows 7 computer, which started out as a 80386 based IBM compatible computer, but has been upgraded so many times nothing remains of the original computer.
He grew up on a farm in Michigan's Upper Peninsula and also worked as a disc jockey and newsman at various radio stations there before moving to the Metropolitan Detroit area to practice law. He is a member of the law firm of Monaghan, P.C. of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, concentrating in taxes, pensions, general corporate law and estate planning.
He and his wife, Kathy, have been married for 25 years and currently live in Shelby Township, Michigan.
