DIRECTIONS
Directions to the Engineering Society of Detroit (ESD) building:
From I-696 exit at Evergreen. Take Evergreen south to Civic Center Drive. Civic Center Drive is about halfway between I-696/Eleven Mile Rd. and 10 Mile Rd. Turn west, right if you are coming from the north, onto Civic Center Drive. Follow Civic Center Drive, watching the number signs on the right. When you get to the 20700 sign turn right, north, and follow the drive until you arrive at the southwest corner of the brown building with the Engineering Society of Detroit sign near the top. Turn right, east, and go past the front of the building. When you reach the end of the building, turn left, north and go to the back of the building and turn left, west, again. The parking lot will be on your right. The entrance is in the center of the building, so drive down near it before parking unless you like walking.
The parking is much better at the back of the building than in front.
Enter the rear door and the elevators are on the right about halfway to the front. The ESD office is on the fourth floor and you should see the sign on your left as you exit the elevator. Enter.
Alternative route #1 to the ESD office: Take Eleven Mile (I-696 Service Drive) west from Evergreen to Central Park Blvd. Turn left, south, on Central Park Blvd. Go under the building, you will see it, and turn right, west, at the first opportunity after going under the building. The road is just past the Travelers parking structure and is unnamed. Follow the road until you see the brown buildings on your left, then turn left, south toward the brown buildings. When you get to the buildings, turn right and proceed to the center of the first building and park in the lot on your right. The building is marked 20700 but the ESD name is not visible. Enter the rear door and the elevators are on the right about halfway to the front. The ESD office is on the fourth floor and you should see the sign on your left as you exit the elevator. Enter.
Alternative route #2 to the ESD office: At the first traffic light on Evergreen south of Eleven Mile Rd. turn right, west and proceed to the first Stop sign which will be at Central Park Blvd. Cross Central Park Blvd. and follow the road until you see the brown buildings on your left, then turn left, south toward the brown buildings. When you get to the buildings, turn right and proceed to the center of the first building and park in the lot on your right. The building is marked 20700 but the ESD name is not visible. Enter the rear door and the elevators are on the right about halfway to the front. The ESD office is on the fourth floor and you should see the sign on your left as you exit the elevator. Enter.
